What would a typical day look like?

A typical day will begin at 6:45am. Scheduling will consist of meals, group classes, personal studies, work detail, shops, counseling, mentoring times, free time, recreation, quiet time and family visits. Lights are out at 10:30pm for Phase 1 and 11:00pm for phases 2&3.

The Freedom Centre is faith based. It offers a long term program that will help those with addictions come to a place of:

1. Facing personal choices.
2. Resourcing external assistance through
community programming.
3. Developing life skills among other
program curriculum and resources.


The program will consist of three phases:

Phase 1
Takes 3-5 months to complete and will involve:

- Facing personal reasons for addictions.
- Program involvement to deal with addictions.
- May involves external assistance through
community programming (i.e. AADAC, Burden
Bearers, Anger Mgmt. Resources, Pace, etc.).

Phase 2
Takes 5-9 months and will look at:

- Addressing personal choices for addiction.
- Causes for the draw of addiction.
- Cross for perspective.
- 1st month of mentorship training.
- Mentoring new intakes in the program.

Purposes will be for:
- Developing relationships with new intakes.
- Peer Counseling.
- Encouragement in challenges.

Phase 3
Takes 12 months to complete. It consists of:

- Life skills development.
- Work ethics.
- Money management.
- Social interaction.
- Possible apprenticeship/skills training in
local industry.
